It is priced under $80 and is available on Amazon. You have the option to cut out those portions of the films that you don't want, you can even add titles and include chapter breaks. The PowerDirector software is apparently adequate while transferring VHS data to Windows and what's more, in addition to conversion, editing can also be done. Another good thing about the application is that you can either choose to watch the video while it is being transferred or just watch it without doing any recording. That said, converting tapes is a breeze with a Mac as the app automatically transfers VHS data to the computer. The converter is easy to install, is a great choice and a great option if you have the latest operating system. This is indeed a limiting feature of the device especially if you're still on Vista or XP. This is perhaps one of the very few converters that's ideal for Mac computers but not really compatible with Windows-it does work with Windows 7 or 8 but that's about it.

The interesting question is how AMD will respond with new Threadripper pricing next month we already know the company at least pretends to enjoy playing elaborate price games. We see roughly the same cost reduction across the board, down to the 10900X at $590 vs last year's 9900X at $990. We don't have a firm set of specifications on the third-generation Threadrippers yet, but we can get a quick look at how Cascade-X compares with Threadripper 2000 below: Intel CPU Modelįor one example, this year's high-end i9-10980XE goes for $980-and last year's 9980XE went for just under $2,000. Up to 435 users across Minnesota could access it at one time from anywhere that had a telephone line. ” The UNIVAC was installed in a climate-controlled room at MECC headquarters. “We already had all schools in Minnesota running teletypewriters hooked to a huge UNIVAC. “MECC’s goal was on putting a computer in the hands of every K-12 student in Minnesota,” says Dale LaFrenz, MECC co-founder and CEO from 1985 to 1996. From 1978 to 1999, MECC, together with Apple, competed against private software companies to turn American children into a nation of computer-savvy early adopters and make computer class as much a part of American schooling as math and English. The State of Minnesota threw huge funds to entice computer programmers to Minneapolis and Saint Paul when it created MECC in 1973. Minnesota was a Midwestern Silicon Valley by the early 1970s. Steve Jobs said as much in a 1995 interview with the Smithsonian Institution: “One of the things that built Apple II's was schools buying Apple II's.” Apple II's loaded with MECC games. Very few APIs are radically different between posix/win32. It may be possible to link against winelib or something, but that sounds like a massive nightmare when it comes to porting to various systems/compilers that wine doesn't support.Ī solid PAL implementing the subset of Win32 used with tight argument validation would likely be the best option for most things. Building a WINE-like compat layer sounds painful. Right now there are some things PAL'ed out but most of the kernel just makes Win32 calls. Flush support that the debugger can call would be nice.Īlloy should have some debug hooks. Need a tracing channel so that all tracing data can be sent over debug connection. Win32 allows only one debugger at a time, though, so this would prevent VS from attaching. In-process to keep the build simpler, allow for arbitrary function calls to anything, and make locking easier.Ī hybrid may be possible with a small out-of-process shim to enable capturing exceptions and minidumps. For example, add reg, reg, 1/-1 could be translated to an inc/dec.Īvoiding large negative number loads for simple operations would be nice. xenia's Peopleįorkers JABirchall espes sephiroth99 aniruddh22 kusl BlastarIndia msmakhlouf acgh213 ivanmarcin awesome cmsimike qeeg wtfaremyinitials pcs007 SinSiXX JordanKoch 1nstant garryrry Ratcash imclab HuwCampbell martindale rthauby Stimels7 cfinster shuffle2 milic951 UnicronNL stephen789 dachidachi sum2012 C-Kenny haagens hlide iamtanmay Fire30 JMonsorno GamerAtHeart Seb1209 wszechpolak jdarpinian danielferblackop huatson changbiao hminth inlandyears arkanoid1 alexjjording daftpunkz rlcook0 nurfazlin Tsalokin psyko0815 kunaldeo KitoHo atupac Krogonos thecrazyc1 nicoboss Shoaibgazi dani22322 woody2014 fpetillo DNS Suninus valioukha greg100795 Pataua DrChat CERobertson onlyhuman91 HorusXXVI PatrickSycz lorenzogonnelli TRex22 Wagnerp horusbr97 moinakb001 kalip boriphuth malfeis thezakman MrRg52 haneefmubarak sixis2010 HackLinux DarioSamo ChanHokTing SaviorXTanren xunsus prog012 LongJohnCoder FFRyu raven02 Razzile jskew Nolawee supneo TingPing AbaiQi xenia's Issues Optimize ALU ops for more efficient encoding.Ĭertain operations could be encoded much more efficiently. This older set of 14 MS5 brushes can work nicely in the newer versions of Clip Studio Paint too.Īll of the brushes follow a kind of theme with simple cloud blending brushes, patchy charcoal-style brushes, and glitchy pixel-y brushes. With various textures and some nice cloud brushes in here this is definitely a pack worth downloading. I'm actually surprised how well they work and how much they blend into a painting. But there are some cool new designs like a forest brush and a custom treetop brush.īy the name these may sound a little cheesy. You will find foliage brushes and spackle brushes mixed in. The same artist above released this second pack of brushes with quite a few enhancements. Painting gets a lot easier with the right brushes so it's worth testing these out just to get a feel for how they work. It's a fairly small pack but you can find something in here for any piece of work. This pack is the first of two which includes a few handy brush styles from basic markings to some foliage designs. CSP Brush Pack #1ĭeviantArt user Yettyen has created a few brush packs of their own to merge with Clip Studio Paint. It's pretty large at 41MB but it's well worth the download. Highly recommend grabbing a copy of this pack. Perfect for artists of all skill levels and this makes a great entryway into CSP. Not to mention there's a lot of variety here between the basic set of drawing brushes, inking brushes, and some older custom designs. Let's start with one of my favorites: a massive brush pack originally designed for Manga Studio 5.Īll of these brushes work with CSP so there's no concern over what software to run. No matter what software you're running or what kind of artwork you make, there's gonna be a few brushes here that'll pique your interest. I've cataloged the absolute best brushes for CSP and Manga Studio all in this post. Not to mention artists have been releasing their own CSP brushes ever since the software update. Thankfully all previous Manga Studio 5/EX brushes work flawlessly in Clip Studio Paint. Whether you're drawing, inking, or painting, you need the right brushes for the job. More artists now than ever are switching and creating artwork in Clip Studio Paint.Īnd every artist knows brushes are the cornerstone of great digital art. The rebranding from Manga Studio to Clip Studio Paint was sudden but nothing major. Avengers: Infinity War is also the grimmest MCU movie so far, with consequences unlike any that have come before in this massive franchise. This is the most intense, complex, and stirring Marvel Cinematic Universe film yet - though the sheer number of characters and storylines make it a bit confusing for anyone who's not a hard-core fan. It all leads up to a massive climactic battle with shocking consequences. The sprawling epic takes place on multiple continents and multiple planets as Thanos and his terrifying accomplices stop at nothing to find the stones and take them by whatever means are necessary. Lining up to stop him are almost all of the big-screen Marvel heroes, including Avengers Iron Man ( Robert Downey, Jr.), Captain America/Steve Rogers ( Chris Evans), Thor ( Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow ( Scarlett Johansson), and others plus Spider-Man ( Tom Holland), Black Panther ( Chadwick Boseman), Doctor Strange ( Benedict Cumberbatch), and the Guardians of the Galaxy, led by Star-Lord ( Chris Pratt) and Gamora ( Zoe Saldana). In AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, Thanos ( Josh Brolin), whose efforts to acquire powerful cosmic gems called "Infinity Stones" have been important elements in previous Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies, marches toward his goal of eliminating half of all life in the universe (he believes it's the only way to stop beings from using up all of the universe's resources). As always, teamwork and courage are core messages as the Avengers (including Robert Downey, Jr.'s Iron Man, Chris Evans' Captain America, Chris Hemsworth's Thor, and Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow), other MCU heroes (including Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther, Tom Holland's Spider-Man, and Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange), and the Guardians of the Galaxy (including Chris Pratt's Star-Lord and Zoe Saldana's Gamora) come together to defend humanity - and the universe. There's also some strong language (including "s-t," "a-hole," "dammit," and several colorful insults), but sex isn't a factor beyond a few loving kisses. The gore level isn't higher it's really the emotional impact that's different. Frankly, things get pretty grim: Key characters die, and the villains are much scarier than most comic book baddies. The core plot element is mass murder on a universal scale, which might be a little much for younger viewers. Thanos ( Josh Brolin) is by far the most powerful nemesis the Avengers have faced, which the filmmakers establish right away with his brutal beatdown of one of the mightiest Avengers. Violence is the biggest issue it's stepped up even by MCU standards, with some torture and several impalings and crushings in addition to the usual smashed buildings, giant fights, and blasted spaceships. Also, it requires more knowledge of things that have happened in previous Marvel movies than other Avengers films have it's the meeting point of several franchises and storylines. It has plenty of humor and lighter moments, but it ultimately goes to places darker than in any previous Marvel Cinematic Universe entry. Parents need to know that Avengers: Infinity War is the most intense of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films so far, due to the villain's genocidal quest and the grave consequences for some well-known characters.
